Fractales Ventures is building an engine that finds, collects, structures and validates data that standard financial feeds miss. We start in Japan, where local-language and offline sources are deep and underused, and the engine is designed to add new markets and new types of dataset from there.
| date | entity | signal | region | value |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026-10-27 | Retailer A | store_openings | JP-13 | +4 |
| 2026-10-27 | Chain B | job_postings | JP-27 | +18% |
| 2026-10-26 | Maker C | price_index | JP | −2.1% |
| 2026-10-26 | Issuer D | reg_filing | JP | new |
Each new dataset runs through the same five stages, so the engine scales by adding sources rather than by starting over. Japan is the first market; the method is the same in any market.
Technology partner Collection and data infrastructure are built with Context Plus, through Context Labs. Sourcing, validation and client relationships stay with Fractales Ventures.
Find signals that matter to investors and are not in standard feeds: local-language, fragmented or offline.
Collect lawfully and repeatably, with the legal basis for each source recorded.
Map entities, normalise fields and build consistent history.
Test completeness and consistency, and document what the data can and cannot show.
Ship as files or feeds in an agreed format, with full documentation.
Alternative data comes first. The same engine then extends to regulatory, risk and sustainability data. Each family is marked with its current stage.
Activity signals on companies and sectors, for hedge funds, asset managers, banks and research teams.
Rule changes, enforcement actions and filings, structured for monitoring and research.
Events that change a counterparty's risk profile, for investors and compliance teams.
Environmental and supply-chain signals, developed when a buyer need is confirmed.
Institutional buyers review how a dataset was collected before they review what it shows. These standards apply to every dataset we deliver.
Data is collected from sources we have the right to use, in line with each source's terms and the law of each market.
Datasets are designed to exclude or aggregate personal information, consistent with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information and equivalent laws elsewhere.
We do not collect or deliver material non-public information, and we do not induce anyone to breach a duty of confidentiality.
Each dataset ships with its sources, collection method, coverage, history and known gaps.
Format, frequency, history depth and exclusivity are agreed in writing before a pilot begins.
We test each dataset for completeness and consistency, and state what we could not verify.
We start where we are based and where sources are deep and underused. Each new market reuses the same engine, standards and delivery, with sources validated locally.
Two practices draw on two decades leading financial data and legal information businesses, and on the regulatory data the engine produces.
